Our Adirondack Wedding (Part 1)

Last Saturday marked 6 months of marriage for Evan and I. Time has been flying by so fast and we are loving every second of this new chapter. Our destination wedding was the best week of my life, spent with our closest family and friends. We rented a cabin, along a dirt road, leading to the campground that I basically grew up in. My grandparents stumbled upon Brown Tract Pond over 60 years ago and it's been tradition to visit this little piece of heaven every year. It was a dream come true to get married there. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding, in our favorite place.

The morning of the wedding was full of so much emotion. I couldn't sleep at all the night before, I was so excited and anxious. My sister, mother in-law and I went first thing in the morning to pick up the flowers and bouquets from this cute bike and flower shop called Pedals & Petals.  We came back to breakfast on the table and mimosas in mason jars, made by my best friend (who also took all these beautiful photos!) and my now sister in-laws.

My mom, dad and grandmother were staying elsewhere, so they stopped by during breakfast and before I knew it, Dawn was directing me to get ready.

If it wasn't for Dawn, her expertise and friendship, I don't think things would have ran as smoothly. She helped calm my nerves when I needed it most.

When I put the dress on, it felt real. Today was the day that I was marrying my best friend. Today our lives were about to change.

After the big dress reveal, we headed over to the campround to meet my parents. This was when I started to get really nervous. This was it! We were half an hour away from saying I do.

Every time I look at these photos, they make me smile ear to ear. It still feels like a dream come true. I will post the ceremony next week so stay tuned. :-)
