The Heavenly Sunsets Collection

Death has a way of waking us up, making us appreciate the little things even more. This series of paintings were created during a week of deep reflection as my heart felt very heavy with the recent news of my Grandpa passing. Although I did not have many memories of him (a family situation kept us separated) I still grieve for lost time and memories that could have been made. What gives me peace is knowing that he is in heaven with my Grandma, someone that I also dearly miss and wish I had more time with. Although I don’t wish for life to speed up, I do look forward to the day that we’ll meet again, in a place where there is no pain or judgement but is simply full of love and forgiveness.

These paintings are dedicated to those who are no longer with us in the physical world, but are shining bright in the heavens above, guiding and protecting us each and every day.
