Great things ...

How true is the quote below? How many of you feel that the times we grow the most are when we step out of our comfort zones to try something new?

Sometimes I personally find myself hiding, from the things I'm most passionate about, out of fear. Fear of actually succeeding, growing and of course making mistakes. No matter what we go through though, everything is a learning experience and it prepares us for something greater. 

Yesterday I started a 25 week art challenge to step out, create, explore and grow. I know  many people try to create art everyday, but sometimes I feel like that's just setting yourself up for failure, because honestly life happens. Sometimes you can't pick up those paint brushes because your child, husband, family or friends need you. Instead of promising to create art every day I vowed to post a couple times throughout the week finished or unfinished pieces. No matter what, our work is never finished, it's always a work in progress. 

I hope that this challenge allows me to grow as an artist and as an individual. So if you want to follow along on instagram, I'd love to have you!
