Day trip to Montauk
On Friday we took advantage of the nice weather on Long Island and headed out to Montauk. Summer is our favorite season, so when the days start getting shorter and cooler, the hubs, pup and I start to go a bit stir crazy. Although it was super windy, the sun was out making it the perfect day for walking and getting some exercise.
Montauk is by far my favorite spot on Long Island. The little surf town is super cute and the water always looks beautiful, not to mention the bluffs making for a beautiful backdrop. If you’re lucky you’ll probably see seals swimming around in the water too!
Dressing for the cooler temps has been a bit of a challenge lately. My body is still changing so much and I feel like I’m literally busting out of everything I own. I’m 30 weeks now and I keep wondering how much bigger I’m going to get. As usual I am practically living in my PinkBlush maternity clothing. This oversized sweater was so warm and comfy; perfect for a crisp, cool, fall day. You can pair it with jeans or with leggings, either way it looks so cute! If we weren’t hiking I probably would have worn cute booties, instead of sneakers.
I’m so glad we were able to make it out to Montauk this past weekend. If you have never been, I highly recommend checking it out. In the summer the town is flooded with surfers and people from all over the world. Not to mention if you’re a huge Stranger Things fan like me, you need to check out Camp Hero. Basically that show is based off of this location! Plus, the lighthouse is beautiful and definitely a must see!
After our trip out East I am feeling inspired to create some new artwork. The hubs has been wanting a lighthouse painting for our bathroom, so that is on my list of things to do, hopefully before baby arrives!
