Hello Monday - Stop waiting. Start doing.
I'll be honest, this morning I didn't feel like getting up at 4am. I would have rather stayed in bed sleeping but then I remembered why I get up so early. Seeing slow progress within Hello Monday instead of none is what gets me out of bed to start each day. To see the possibility of my small business growing and being able to do something that I enjoy... that is what motivates me.
So many people wait for Friday, to get out of a job that they just can't stand. It's so sad and honestly shouldn't be that way. I usually watch what I say online because I'm in the midst of a full time job and managing Hello Monday on the side, but as I get older I realize more and more how precious time is. Our days are limited and each second that goes by you can't get back. How awesome would it be to have a job/career that you got excited about, that made you feel free?
As we get older if we're on a career path that doesn't provide a way to expand skills or allow creative freedom then how will we grow? It's almost like a feeling of being trapped, submerged under water drowning. So graphic I know, but for myself, as a heart that was called to be creative it can be one of the worst feelings. That is what motivates me. To work harder to get somewhere where I know I was meant to be.
How about you? What motivates you to get out of bed each day? Are you doing something each day that you enjoy/were called to do?
