The Slow Season Collection

I’m so excited, today is the day that my newest collection Slow Season is released! It’s been awhile since I’ve made original works available and these specific pieces hold so much meaning. I hope that when you look at these paintings they bring you feelings of joy, peace and calm because that’s exactly what they have given to me throughout the process.

About the Work

These dreamy landscapes were inspired by a transformative year of growth which included moving, birthing our second son & quitting my job to become a stay at home Mom. Initially all the change brought on feelings of grief, overwhelm and anxiety but having worked through so many emotions, I’m optimistic about the future and trust that all these changes were for a greater good.

Slow Season was originally going to be a series of seascapes, something that I love painting, but as I began the process they felt lifeless. After taking some time to reflect, I began to feel inspired by local green fields which provided serenity and peace amongst the day to day chaos of my new normal.

As the collection slowly developed my family and I took a spontaneous trip back to Long Island (where we moved from last year) and immediately felt something inside shift which lead to healing. This is when I started incorporating pink skies and hints of water into some of the pieces. Just as my personal life was transforming within the past year, so was this latest body of work.

Although I painted many pieces for this collection, only a select few made the cut. Some are still in process that I hope to someday share, but for now, I release to you all my favorite ones! I hope that you love them just as much as I do.
